I'm Sweet on You!!!!!!

Well if you are back for more today then you must have heard that February is a big month around here!!!  My Birthday, My Anniversary, and Valentines day!!!!  Woo Hoo!

So as promised during the month of February I will post a new creation for you EVERY single day!  That's right!  I said EVERY day!

Also I will be doing some fun contests and challenges, drawings, and sweet specials!!!

If you were here yesterday, then you got in on my first creations of the month!  If not you'll find that post below!

Now let's kick this thing off right!  Since it is the month of love how about a 6x6 Valentines day card that is so Pink and so Sweet....that it give you a toothache?? LOL......

I used paper from the That's Amore Collection which is now retired however another super sweet paper that would work for projects like these is The Sweetheart Collection which is now a SPEACIAL price at $3.00!!!

Start with a 6 x 12 piece of off white paper....if you are using the Sweet Heart Collection it would be your white daisy cardstock :)

Use your bone folder to really crease the seam of your card making a 6 x 6 card

Then take a darker pink shade of cardstock......I used Tulip and trim it to a 5 x 5

For the scalloped edging I used a corner rounder.................Corner Rounder Secret...take the corner edge off of your corner rounder to make semi circle punches!

Tack that to your card face right in the center.

Next take a lighter shade  B&T Duos®  and trim it to a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 and distress the edges before tacking it on....I used Tulip ink for all of my distressing on this project.

The lacy heart print is on Tulip cardstock and cut using my Cricut Expression and Home Decor Cricut Cartridge......which is a pretty basic cartridge and probably if you have a cricut you have this cartridge :)  Be careful removing this from your mat as it is fragile.....

The cupcake is a pattern from Little Scraps Of Heaven.......I cut this with my cricut as well using the same coordinating papers and then colored the frosting with Glitz Gel.

I topped it off with a sparkle on the heart, and a tag with the Sentiment....Sweet on You!  The tag came from My Stickease Amore...........but any tag would work!

This is my Day 2 layout :).................It is done completely with the exclusive You and Me Kit from CTMH which unfortunatly is no longer available...............but if you were one of the lucky ones who got in on this kit then you know just how marvy it was!

I am sorry to say that I didn't realize that the C in celebrate had fallen off when I was photographing and it is still AWOL.........a search party is out though and hopefully this scrapfest will see no casualties! LOL

 

And for those of you that missed out on day 1, then today is your lucky day! Because You get to see what I did yesterday............today! :)

For Day 1, I did an Easter Page because when I think of spring that is the first that springs to mind :)  I used some soft pastel CTMH Papers, loose organdy ribbon, and butterflies............then I topped off some points with some sparkles.....my fave!

For my Second page I was inspired by an older photo of my BFF and I!  Nothing is more fun then hanging out in the springtime!

For this page I used CTMH paper and sparkles and did a lot of hand stitching........which ended up looking great but took forever!

Day 2 of Rebecca's Baby Shower Blog Hop!!!

And for you today!!!!  Another New Project!

For the mommy :) I have a two page layout that is actually Very Close to my Heart ;) And very simplistic!  On the first page there are many places to put little photos or a few places to put larger photos!  I used my cricut to cut out baby and then blinged it up with some opaques.....

I love how dainty they are while still remaining masculine.....perfect for a baby boy!

On this second page...........I continued with a simple soft look.......I made a great big area for lots of journaling and topped it off with a cute little boy!  I then also added a couple of buttons and a couple of places for some larger photos...............additional small photos or journaling can be added to any of the little spaces!  Very versatile to fit any special days!

This layout is made with the Cocoa Collection which unfortunatly is now retired.....and that is too bad because it has some awesome papers in it........but don't fear CTMH has lots of current packs to choose from that are equally awesome!  

Ok so Remember the cute little hand prints from yesterday?  Well of course this layout is coordinated with the matching little feet prints!  Very subtle but cute!

Now for my Project!!

For the mommy :) I have a two page layout that is actually Very Close to my Heart ;) because I designed this one after a similar layout that I had done when I was pregnant :) 

This layout is made with the Cocoa Collection which unfortunatly is now retired.....and that is too bad because it has some awesome papers in it........but don't fear CTMH has lots of current packs to choose from that are equally Awesome!! 

I tore to pieces of B & T duos and heavily distressed the edges to really give it a bit of pop from the rest of the page!  The journaling sheet that is titled the day you were born is just basic cardstock that is ripped and really beat up to give it an aged book appearance........There is a pocket with a tag for additional journaling or a small photo.....or maybe to save a momento from that wonderful day!

I then embellished with buttons and chipboard from the Lucky assortment, and some blingy flowers.

Page two also has a nice journaling section which is basically just a sheet of notebook paper ripped out....I made some old tags that will be a nice place for new baby size.  And again embellished with some chipboard from the lucky assortment.  Both pages are edged with some ribbon left kind of soft and loose so as not to harden the look of the layouts.  And both journaling pages are topped off with a sweet little hand prints!

Card Shower Challenge !!!

Card Shower Challenge! 

Recently an old friend of mine had surgery.  It was a simple surgery but unfortunately she had some complications that have left her feeling under the weather and in a lot of pain :(  So I decided that I would make her a special card.....knowing that it would not fix everything, but maybe it would bring her a little ray of sunshine on a gloomy day :)

Then I  thought....whats better then one card?  2 Cards!  or 3 Cards......and so this challenge was born! LOL

I challenge all of you to shower her with your hand crafted get well cards!  For every card Sent you will be entered into a drawing for the Grand prize which is a basket of card making goodies!

Also every person who sends at least one card will get a small thank you gift from me! :)

To Enter all you have to do is create your card and post a picture of it on my facebook page!  I will then email you her address so that you can send it to her!  Simple Right?  Plus we will be sending someone an envelope of happiness!

Here is the card that I have made and I am sending out tomorrow!

This little card was giving me a little bit of trouble this morning....I got a creative block and had to have some help from some of you to get through it! LOL  Thanks for that! 

I used paper from the Aspen Level 2 Paper Pack which is actually now retired....but if you like these colors the Wonderland Pack is very similar!  You can find that at

The Little Scrap Corner's CTMH site!

The card is 6 x 3 and is embellished with a paper piecing from Little Scraps of Heaven.  I colored her in with pastels and "Glitzed" up her cloud and the borders with Glitz Gel also available on my website!  Then I finished this little cutie off with some sparkles and we are ready to go!
